Childbirth is an experience in a woman’s life
that holds the power to transform her forever
Passing through these powerful gates -
in her own way -
remembering all the generations
of women who walk with her
...She is never alone.

Client Reviews

I can’t say enough about how blessed we were to have Sarah with us for the birth of our daughter. She was so helpful, encouraging, and supportive to both my husband and I, and I can’t thank her enough for all that she did. She was an essential part to helping us stick to our birth plan. She did just about everything from getting my husband coffee to holding my leg during pushing, and not to mention how wonderful it was to have a massage during labor. I am so grateful for her and all of her care and support.

Having Sarah as our doula gave Travis and I the added security to know that we could accomplish a peaceful birth after experiencing previous trauma, that we had someone on our side listening to us and she supported and encouraged our goals every step of the way. I am blessed to have had the healing birth experience I so strongly desired and I absolutely attribute a great portion of that to my wonderful support team.

I would highly recommend Sarah to those seeking a doula and would definitely ask her to be present at the birth of a future child. In my third trimester I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and required additional monitoring each week ultimately leading to an assessment of macrosomia and encouragement by my physician to have a planned cesarean section at 39 weeks. This was certainly unexpected and not how I envisioned the birth of my son.
From the moment we first met Sarah she became a calming and supportive friend to us. She checked in frequently, and each time I had a concern or question offered helpful advice and articles. I could tell she was taking the time to research and follow up with additional information for us.
Even though I had a c-section and did not need her support through contractions and labor, her support during and leading up to the operation was immensely helpful. She helped us work through pre-op concerns, offering a third-party perspective on which questions we should ask the physician/anesthesiologist and what to expect. We obtained permission for her to be in the room as an additional support person during the operation. Her presence set my husband and me at ease and she took amazing photos of my son’s birth that we would not otherwise have.
Following the birth of my son, Sarah continues to be a resource. She checks in on my mental and physical well-being, offers suggestions and support for the challenge of being a new mom and makes connections. All that, and prenatal, postnatal, and baby massage to boot. Of all decisions to make during pregnancy, I have no regrets about hiring Sarah as our doula.

Sarah is the perfect blend of caring and professional. Her extensive knowledge helps put a pregnant mother at ease, and she has a knack of re-framing pregnancy struggles in a positive way for an easier mindset.
Her years of experience definitely show in the delivery room. Like other doulas, she has extensive knowledge of ideal position changes and applying counterpressure. What differentiates her is her ability to handle boundaries and concerns without alerting a birthing mother to potential issues. She was supportive when I needed her, she was encouraging and respectful when I needed my husband, and I was able to spend my labor focusing on my baby with minimal distractions or worries, and her support helped my husband become truly heroic. I felt like she was truly invested in helping me achieve my ideal birth, and would definitely ask her for help if future pregnancies showed up in the cards for me. My only regret was not hiring her until my third pregnancy, which ended in a SUCCESSFUL vba2c!
